i hereby declare that i shall never attempt to make fried green tomatoes again. i tried. i used paula deen’s recipe. i let the salt take out most of the water from the tomatoes just like she suggested. and yet, what i was left with were twelve little lumps of sogginess. god bless my youngest son who ate them despite their appearance…but i do promise never to bring those to my dinner table again. i am a good cook, i’ll leave the fried green tomatoes to jessica tandy.
